The Life and Times of a Dev Yes, we're really that weird

We recently ordered a laptop for an employee.  It was delivered yesterday and we realized it had no web cam and wasn’t the 1080p resolution.  He wasn’t happy.

So, this morning, I sent an e-mail to our rep and asked him what we could do.  Within an hour or two, he called me, arranged a replacement laptop with the corrected specs, set up a return and had everything arranged and charged us only for the difference.  No pain, no silly questions.  We won’t loose use of the laptop either.  The return and the new laptop will overlap so that we can just pack up the old laptop in the box of the new one, slap some labels on and away we go.

This has been my experience with Dell over the past 10 years.  Their corporate service has always been fantastic, and it’s made me a huge fan.  Keep up the good work, Dell!

I have to say that Dell's retail service has also been excellent at least here in the UK.
Ordered an XPS 15 a couple of years ago, arrived with the bezel loose at one corner. Emailed support a couple of photographs of the faulty corner and 2 days later a new laptop was delivered with instructions on how to return the faulty one.
Good service deserves a thumbs up!

Yes, this has been my experience as well. we have a corporate account with Dell and never had issues with them. Always prompt and accommodating, no BS. Maybe lenovo hardware is slightly better but the service that comes with Dell makes up for it 10 times over (disclaimer: i have not dealt with Lenovo reps on a corporate level, only with their tech support as a low level field tech)

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will hopefully avoid the fiasco that was the bane of the Galaxy Note 7. With the Korean giant looking to recoup its multi-billion dollar losses, we have created a wishlist of the features which will be seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. We are waiting with baited breath the release of the new device.
